Steve founded Z3Talent in 2013 as a small boutique firm leveraging his 18 years as an entrepreneur and executive in the human capital industry. He has a strong belief that there is nothing more important to the success of a company than its people. An admirer of Simon Sinek, Steve’s WHY is to invite people in with trust to build collaborative teams that win together.
Prior to Z3Talent, Steve was a part of building two nationwide Executive Search and RPO firms as well as working for a Top 5 International Search firm. Throughout his career, he has placed nearly 1000 professionals spanning most industries and functions, however, his passion is partnering with entrepreneurs and investors in identifying hard to find executives for their companies.
He is active in the Denver-Boulder business community serving on Advisory Boards for G3 Presents, ReWork, PocketJobs, StackUp, Molly's Spirits and CampuScene. Additionally, he has served, or is currently serving on Boards for Entrepreneurial Organization (EO), EO Alchemy 2015, YouthBiz, StartUpColorado/Silicon Flatirons, Soul Day Foundation and Paddington Station.
Steve is a graduate of EMP 2017, Leadership Denver 2013 and Impact Denver 2007 and has a BS in Marketing from CU Boulder.
Amani leads our diversity, inclusion and board development practice and is an expert in corporate communications executives. He advises corporations and high profile companies on talent management and organizational development issues. Additionally, he is able to leverage his early career expertise in advising clients on corporate communications, crisis situations, diversity and local government and community involvement.
Amani began his career as a journalist serving on several broadcast management teams including Clear Channel Communications and iHeart Media. He was one of the first reporters to arrive on scene at the Oklahoma City bombing and Columbine High School tragedies. Since leaving iHeart Media as an Executive Producer, Amani has led a management consulting firm advising clients on communications strategies, political campaigns, as well as identity and media strategies.
Amani completed his undergraduate work at Howard University and received his MBA in Strategic Management from Regis University. Upon graduation he joined the faculty as an affiliate professor in the College of Professional Studies teaching Change Management.
He has taken his innovative thought leadership in strategy execution to many private and non- profit corporations as; President of the Colorado Association of Black Journalists, Deputy Regional Director of the National Association of Black Journalists and Executive Director, the Executive Director of the acclaimed research and performance organization the Spirituals Project based on the University of Denver campus.
Amani is also a former member of the National Black Economic Development Coalition (Multicultural Marketing and Diversity Council) for MillerCoors, former board member and committee chair of the Urban League of Metropolitan Denver, and was one of nine national advisory board members of the Inclusion and Diversity Council for MillerCoors and he is a graduate of Leadership Denver of the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation.
Paula directs our research, candidate identification and recruitment operations including organization and creation of processes and resources. She is passionate about assisting client growth by delivering excellent candidates and is driven by providing the highest degree of integrity, professionalism and quality in her work. Her industry expertise is within natural resources, oil and gas, construction, manufacturing, engineering, and the technology business sectors.
Prior to Z3Talent, Paula spent 20 years as a key contributor for two high profile, international Executive Search firms. She supported numerous high producing Search Consultants as well as leading Research responsible for the placement of hundreds of mid-management to executive level individuals.
Born and raised in Colorado, Paula earned her MBA from Clemson University in South Carolina and her bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Southern Colorado (now Colorado State University – Pueblo).
Stacie is a Senior Recruiter with an expertise in direct recruiting, candidate identification, recruitment processes, and search management. She advises clients on talent management and acts as an in house recruiter for many of them. Prior to her recruiting career, she served as a HR Manager responsible for a 100+ employee production facility. Her human resources expertise, combined with 15 years as a full cycle recruiter gives her an unique perspective and value add to our clients.
Throughout Stacie’s career she has worked for Fortune 500 companies including Northrup Grumman, IBM, Kaiser Permanente as well as a national executive search firms. Her industry experience includes professional services, technology, financial services, construction, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, and healthcare. Lastly, she’s experienced in recruiting at all levels within an organization covering most functions.
A Colorado native, Stacie is a driven by creating exceptional relationships with candidates and clients as well as identifying hard to find candidates.
