Steve founded Z3Talent as a boutique firm with a strong belief that there is nothing more important to the success of a company than its people. An admirer of Simon Sinek, Steve’s WHY is: To invite people in with trust to build collaborative teams that win together.

Steve brings over 25 years of experience in retained executive search and has a successful track record partnering with client organizations to deliver best-in-class talent to companies that are entrepreneurial-led, private equity-backed, and family-owned businesses. 

Prior to Z3Talent, Steve was an entrepreneur building two nationwide Executive Search and RPO firms and worked for a Top 5 international search firm. Throughout his career, he has placed over 1000 professionals spanning most industries, geographies, and functions. He is passionate about partnering with entrepreneurs, private equity firms, and family businesses in identifying hard-to-find executives for their companies that are going through some sort of transformational shift.

Steve has been active for over 25 years in the Denver-Boulder business community as a member of the Entrepreneurial Organization (EO) as well as a Strategic Resource Member for YPO Colorado and YPO Pikes Peak. Additionally, he has served on a multitude of Advisory Boards for start-ups such as G3 Presents, ReWork, PocketJobs, StackUp, Molly's Spirits, and CampuScene.  

Steve currently serves on the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation Board. In the past, he has served on the boards of Entrepreneurial Organization (EO), EO Alchemy 2015, YouthBiz, Silicon Flatirons, StartUpColorado, Soul Day Foundation, and Paddington Station.

Steve is a graduate of EMP at MIT in 2017, Leadership Denver 2013, Impact Denver 2007 and has a BS in Marketing from CU Boulder. He resides in Denver, CO with his wife and 3 children.
